Senior Residential Support Worker - Mental Health Home

Senior Residential Support Worker - Mental Health Home

Are you looking for a new opportunity where you can make a genuine difference to the lives of children and young people?

Some roles are just a job. This is a career with real purpose.

We have an exciting opportunity to join Ivan House, our new residential children's home in Coalville, Leicestershire, as a Senior Residential Support Worker on a full-time, permanent basis. In this rewarding role, you will work alongside dedicated professionals to provide hope, stability and support to children and young people as they recover and move forward from challenging circumstances.

Who are we?

Barnardo's, the UK's largest children's charity, is working in partnership with Leicestershire County Council to develop and deliver a range of new children's homes for some of the most vulnerable children and young people across the county.

Ivan House is a specialist residential home that provides care and support for children and young people, some of whom will have complex emotional and mental health needs. The home delivers a safe, nurturing, and therapeutic environment in which young people can build resilience, develop positive relationships, and make meaningful progress towards their individual goals.

This is where you can have a real impact. By building positive relationships, providing consistent support and helping young people develop confidence and resilience, you will play a key role in their recovery journey and future success.

Our homes are located in Hinckley, Coalville, Braunstone, Mountsorrel, Market Harborough and Syston.

Shifts are typically long-day shifts, allowing staff to spend meaningful time with the children and provide continuity of care. One sleep-in is allocated per shift, with sleep-ins shared equally across the team through the rota. Additional shifts worked above contracted hours are paid as overtime.
