Charity Stock Co-ordinator

Charity Stock Co-ordinator

Are you organised, dependable and enjoy being on the road?

If so, you could be a great fit for our team. We are looking for someone to join our Gifts in Kind (GIK) team as a Charity Stock Coordinator.

As well as collecting donated goods from our valued business donors, you will play a key role in ensuring stock reaches the right Barnardo's stores across the region, helping to maximise sales and generate vital funds to support children and young people throughout the UK.

Working independently for much of the day, our Charity Stock Coordinators enjoy a varied role that combines driving, logistics, customer service, administration and stock handling.

You'll need to be well organised, proactive and confident communicating with donors, colleagues and store teams. The role requires excellent time management skills, the ability to adapt to changing priorities and a commitment to delivering outstanding service while representing Barnardo's professionally at all times.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting donated goods from business donors and delivering to Barnardo's stores across the region.
  • Planning efficient collection and delivery routes.
  • Loading, unloading and safely handling stock.
  • Using Salesforce CRM and other technology to manage schedules, update records and maintain accurate information.
  • Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring compliance with Barnardo's transport policies and procedures.
  • Building positive relationships with donors, store colleagues and the wider Gifts in Kind team.
  • Following Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Attending external meetings and training sessions as required.

Please note that this role involves regular manual handling of stock and requires a reasonable level of physical fitness, including lifting, carrying, loading and unloading donations on a daily basis.

In return, you will work for one of the UK's largest charity retailers, with benefits including a pension scheme, full training and development opportunities, and the chance to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people across the UK.

Generating the funds we need to support children and young people is a truly rewarding role, so if you'd like to use your skills to make a positive difference, we'd love to hear from you.
