Senior Social Media Executive - Paid

Senior Social Media Executive - Paid

Are you passionate about fashion, retail, and creating content that not only drives commercial success but also makes a meaningful difference? Join our Retail Marketing team as a Senior Social Media Executive, where your creativity and strategic thinking will help grow awareness and income across our retail and trading areas, with a key focus on ecommerce growth.

In this commercially minded role, you'll lead the development and execution of paid social media campaigns across platforms like Meta (Facebook & Instagram), TikTok, and Pinterest. You'll deliver full-funnel campaigns that drive footfall to our 540+ UK stores, boost online sales, and build long-term customer loyalty.

But this role is about more than just metrics. You'll use storytelling to bring Barnardo's impact to life - creating emotionally resonant content that deepens understanding of our cause and builds meaningful relationships with our audiences. Whether it's showcasing sustainable fashion, highlighting the circular economy, or amplifying the voices of those we support, your work will help connect people to our mission in powerful ways.

You'll collaborate with our New Goods and Ecommerce teams to produce high-impact lifestyle content, manage photoshoots, and work with designers and agencies to craft platform-optimized visuals and copy. You'll also support local store teams with scalable social media strategies, toolkits, and training to enhance community engagement and brand consistency.

We're looking for a creative, data-driven individual with retail experience, a strong grasp of paid social media strategy, and a passion for content development. If you're excited by the opportunity to shape the future of retail marketing while making a real difference, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay & Reward Framework

We know that our colleagues go above and beyond in delivering our vital work, driven by their passion and commitment to Barnardo's values.  We also know that we can only realise our ambitions and achieve better outcomes for more children, thanks to the talent, hard work and creativity of our people.

For all these reasons, we are committed to a new approach to pay and reward, to ensure it is fair, attractive and progressive, which was rolled out in April 2023. This is a positive change for the charity, and a part of our People & Culture Strategy. It will assist us in supporting colleagues to belong, thrive and grow in their colleague journey at Barnardo's and in time will offer clear routes of progression for colleagues in both their career and their pay.

Whilst the full pay band and salary range is advertised, our approach to starting salaries is to appoint between the minimum to mid-point of the pay band – this ensures that pay steps are available to reward our colleagues annually based on their contribution to excellence and alignment to our values and behaviours.  More details on Barnardo's pay framework can be found upon application.
