An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Axis Team in North Lanarkshire. Axis supports young people who are affected by their own, or someone else's, drug and/or alcohol use.
We are currently recruiting a number of individuals to join our team on short part-time, fixed-term contracts.
As part of a dedicated team, you will:
- provide one-to-one support to young people
- Assist colleagues in the delivery of group work programmes.
- Participate in multi agency meetings
The service operates seven days a week, requiring evening and weekend working.
We are seeking highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed individuals who are passionate about supporting young people. Applicants should have some experience of working with young people and families, along with an understanding of the challenges faced as a result of their own or someone else's drug and or alcohol use.
Candidates must demonstrate knowledge of The Promise, UNCRC legislation,child protection and safeguarding procedures. They will have the ability to apply this knowledge in practice.
This role may be suited to those currently studying, looking to gain experience within the sector, or seeking to return to the workforce.
Applicants will be flexible and able to work a rota that includes evenings and weekends. A valid driving licence and access to own vehicle for work purposes are essential.
